Weingut Sepp Moser was founded in 1987. Sepp Moser himself is the son of Pioneering winemaker and viticulturalist, Dr. Lenz Moser III, who developed the 'high culture' method of vine training which saw widespread use across Europe for much of the 20th century. The Moser family is a winemaking dynasty, with at least 17 generations of vintners ostensibly stretching as far back as the 12th century. Since the year 2000, the winery has been managed by Sepp's son, Nikolaus, who emphasises gentle vinification, fully expressing the qualities of the grapes, and sustainable, organic and biodynamic viticulture. This wine is 100% Gruner Veltiner from certified organic vines planted on the steep, rocky, lime-rich loess soils of the Rohrendorf terraces in and around Kremstal DAC. The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and crushed.
